FRANKLIN, Tenn. (December 21, 2023)
– For the fourteenth (14th) year, the AAU Music City Brawl Nationals is ready to take center stage on the mats. This year, the event will be an official AAU National Championship Tournament.

Athletes will be traveling to Franklin, Tennessee with a chance to become an AAU National Champion. An estimated 800 to 900 wrestlers will take the mats to start the new year off. Last year, the event brought athletes from 13 different states. This year the event expects 15 or more states to be represented just outside of Nashville.

“We have worked very hard to secure a first- class venue for Music City and we are preparing to roll out a first- class event,” said Henry Kon, Tournament Director. “Nashville is the perfect place to host a national tournament.”

With no shortage of activities for a family to do in the Nashville area, the tournament will be a special one. But the main attraction of the trip will be taking place on the mats. Athletes will be competing across 12 mats throughout the weekend in both individual and team matches.

Boys and girls divisions are set to compete starting on January 7. Wrestlers will be divided into six (6) divisions: Tots, Bantams, Midget, Junior, Girls Division, and Middle School (Girls Division will be K-2, 3-5, 6-8). Tots and Juniors will kick things off at 8 in the morning, followed by Bantam, Midgets, and the Girls Division who will start wrestling at 11. The Middle School division will wrap the event up, starting at 3:30.

With so many wrestlers coming to compete, here are a few wrestlers to watch for in the junior and middle school divisions who will be competing in their home state:
