The AAU’s Inaugural Gobbler Classic is right around the corner on November 30!

The Classic takes place in Romulus, Michigan and will be a qualifier for the AAU Championship Belt Series later this year. The event will feature Boys and Girls division, as well as a seniors contest.

If you are looking to compete or just brush up on your skills, this is the place to be. In addition to the Classic, there will be several clinics hosted by the legends in wrestling, including Myles Amine, John Burke, Ryan Lancaster and CC Weber.

And if that wasn’t enough to get you there, AAU Wrestling will introduce World Medalist and Delaware Valley University Head Coach Leigh Jaynes in the first-ever AAU Nationals Women’s Wresting Gobbler Clinic and Takedown. The Clinic will start at 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 29 at the Romulus High School.

Women’s wrestling is expanding rapidly, and AAU Wrestling wants to provide the best opportunity for all members to be successful in their future endeavors.

“If I had the opportunity, I would love to participate in something like this,” said Jaynes. “So if you are an athlete, and you have goals of college wrestling, or maybe even speaking to some people who have been there, this where you want to go. Even if you are not interested in going to college, I think it is an awesome opportunity to be around a lot of high quality and high caliber people that can help guide you in the direction that you want to go.”
